Some places to look for green grants

The Australian Green Grants Guide
An annual publication containing over 300 grants (not other incentives- such as subsidies, awards, sponsorship or in kind support) for environmental and heritage projects across Australia. The guide is searchable by either geographic location or 7 key themes; Water’ Biodiversity, Energy, Greenhouse, Land, Waste, Heritage (Indigenous and non-indigenous). Find Green Money
This site provides easy access to comprehensive information about green funding opportunities across Australia provided by Commonwealth, State, Territory, Local Government, and non government organisations.

Fundraising Institute of Australia
FIA provide a range of resources to improve fundraising practice.

Givewell
Givewell conducts research on non-profit organisations, with the aim of helping funders to give their money effectively. Go to ‘Register Your Charity’ to have your organisation added to Givewell’s charity listing.

GrantsLink
Government website listing all of the government grants programs available. Check the Environment and Nature category.

ourcommunity.com.au
The Our Community portal provides a broad range of services for community organisations and funders. For fundraising and grant-seeking we highly recommend their monthly EasyGrants Newsletter. You can also list your charity for online giving or search their grants database.

Philanthropy Australia
National peak body for philanthropy in Australia. Philanthropy Australia produce The Australian Directory of Philanthropy, which can be purchased form their website, and offer subscriptions to their Knowledge Centre for non-profit organisations. Philanthropy Australia also hold workshops on successful fundraising.

Include a Charity
Consider being listed on the Include a Charity website. Include A Charity is designed to raise awareness of the ease and effectiveness of leaving a gift in your will. It encourages people to consider leaving a gift to charities after considering family and friends. Include A Charity is the result of over 130 of Australia’s favorite charities working together to do what no single charity has ever been able to achieve on its own – change the way Australians think about including charities in their will.
