Amanda Martin – Executive Officer

Amanda Martin has been involved with philanthropy for 4 years working as the Executive Officer of the Poola Foundation. She has specialized in environment and Indigenous grantmaking and has an interest in governance and accountability in the philanthropic and community sector. With the Poola Foundation, Amanda has worked to establish the AEGN.

Amanda has a background in biodiversity and protected area advocacy and management working in both the public and community sector. She has a degree in Zoology and worked for the Ford Motor Company in Human Resources.

Tina McElligott – Events and Communications Co-ordinator

Tina joined the AEGN in October 2011 as Events and Communications Co-ordinator.  While a newcomer to the environmental sector and philanthropy, Tina has a background in the not for profit world having established a successful women’s finance network in Queensland, running monthly finance education seminars and building a database of members from zero to 2000 in three years.

Professionally Tina spent a decade in corporate affairs in the banking and finance industry, working previously for Suncorp and Macquarie Bank, and has post graduate qualifications in public relations.

John Chadderton – Office Manager

John commenced work at the AEGN in March 2010.  With a degree in Philosophy and Sociology; further studies in social research, community development and a certificate in Workplace Training & Assessment, John has managed customer services at Victoria University in Melbourne since 2000.  This included face-to-face, telephony and internet services.  With a long standing interest in the green sector, John completed the Victorian Government’s Home Sustainability Assessor training and has been involved with various local issues and community groups – most recently undertaking volunteer work with CERES and the ATA.  John’s passion for customer service is reflected through his focus on developing effective services and systems to meet people’s needs.

Karen Price – Bookkeeper

Karen Price joined the AEGN in March 2010.  For the previous 4 years, Karen has been involved with Victorian Women’s Housing Association, a not for profit organisation in the social housing sector, as Treasurer, focusing on financial reporting, project budgeting, assessment and analysis and financial compliance.  Karen is a Chartered Accountant and has a background in finance with a large Australian corporate and prior to that a Chartered Accounting firm.  Karen is committed to assisting not for profit organisations achieve efficient and effective financial reporting and governance.
