Australia Day Honours

Congratulations to the following women and men on their Australia Day Honours.

  • Dr Catherine Brown OAM, AEGN board member, CEO of the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation and champion of a robust and effective not-for-profit sector. Catherine received her Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community through charitable organisations.
  • Julie Kantor AO, long-time AEGN member and philanthropic powerhouse received her Officer of the Order of Australia. Julie is the founder and Director of the Annamila Foundation and received her medal for distinguished service to the community through philanthropy, to Indigenous governance initiatives, and to the visual and performing arts.
  • Sarah Davies AM, Philanthropy Australia’s CEO received a well deserved Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the community through a range of executive roles.
  • Patricia Burke OAM, Philanthropy Australia’s State Manger Victoria and Tasmania, received her Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community through charitable organisations.
  • Allan English AM, Co-Founder of the English Family Foundation for significant service to the community through his philanthropic endeavours including as a Council Member of Philanthropy Australia for 4 years, Chairman of the Funding Network for two years and many other positions and roles.
  • The Honourable Charles Roderick Kemp AM, Trustee of the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust since 2010, has been recognised for services to the Parliament of Australia and to the people of Victoria.
  • Ms Seri Renkin OAM, Ten20 Foundation, Managing Director, since 2016. For service to the community through charitable organisations.
  • Jane Hansen AO, Board Member of Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. For distinguished service to the community, to education and cultural institutions, and through philanthropic support for charitable foundations.
