Julia’s career has spanned numerous roles in the media both locally and internationally.

She started work as a journalist on local newspapers in regional Victoria before moving to News Limited where she worked both in Melbourne and New York. On her return to Australia, Julia joined the ABC where she worked as a reporter for the 7pm News and Landline. She also spent a number of years working for the ABC’s radio current affairs programs.

More recently, Julia has completed a Masters in Sociology and is undertaking doctoral research at the Department of Media and Communications at the University of Sydney.

Julia is based in Sydney and has been the Chair of the Limb Family Foundation since 2009. It was set up by her parents, Janet and George Limb, and has a longstanding commitment to supporting environmental issues. Julia believes that there is growing urgency to not only fund environmental projects but also to work quickly to influence policy as we head toward an inevitable climate emergency.
