Aunty Alice Williams is an Elder of the Wolgalu Nation, who are custodians of the headwaters of the Murrumbidgee River and surrounding waterways. Aunty Alice is a Director at the Murray Lower Darling Rivers Indigenous Nations (MLDRIN) and brings extensive experience and knowledge regarding the Murray Darling Basin and Wolgalu relationships to water.
Aunty Alice has collaborated notably with Dr. Lana Hartwig and Dr. Sue Jackson of Griffith University to produce materials that detail the complexities of law, policy, and management of the Murray Darling Basin in ways that are understandable to First Nations perspectives of water Aunty Alice has also articulated and centred Wolgalu perspectives relating to water within various government materials and academic articles.
