Joanne Bowen
Chief Executive Officer at Cricket for Climate

Joanne Bowen is CEO of Cricket for Climate, a player-led movement founded by Australian Men’s Test and ODI Captain Pat Cummins. With 20+ years in transformation, collaboration, behavioural insights, and systems change, Jo has spent the past decade enabling business, government, and community to work together to deliver climate, energy, and nature-based solutions that create economic, social and environmental value.

Previously, Jo led PwC Australia’s The Impact Assembly and worked with the Australian Climate Leaders Coalition, where she enabled 25+ CEOs to tackle Scope 3 emissions within their value chains, understand and value nature as a strategic priority, and mobilise for TNFD.

Cricket for Climate engages 8 million Australian fans—and 2.5 billion globally—through their love of cricket in a positive, authentic, and relatable way. We deliver practical clean energy and climate resilience solutions across community clubs and use them to educate communities creating a ripple effect in solution adoption.  We develop trusted messengers including club presidents, cricket media and storytellers and elite players, and leverage sport’s cultural reach to normalise energy and climate solutions.

Jo is currently leading the 'Sport Forever' campaign, a national program seeking $100M government investment over the next 5 years to support 1,000 community sport clubs with energy security, climate and local community resilience solutions.

Jo is an affiliate CEO member of the global sport taskforce of HRH King Charles III’s Sustainable Market Initiative, and believer that the scale of change required demands collaboration and new shared value partnerships at a level never seen before.

Whoops, looks like something went wrong.
