Larissa is a proud Widjabul Wia-bal woman from the Bundjalung Nations and comes from a long line of political activists. She was brought up in the fight for land rights, First Nations justice, cultural heritage and climate justice, building strong relationships in communities and across civil society over decades.
As former CEO at GetUp, she led an independent movement of over a million people working to build a progressive Australia and put people back into politics. She also co-founded Seed and is a respected campaign and communications strategist, experienced social movement builder and messaging expert.
