The next climate change funder group meeting will focus on transport – a key gap identified in the Climate Change Strategic Funding Framework. Do not miss it!
Transport contributes 17 per cent to our carbon emissions and is the fastest growing source of pollution in Australia. It is the second largest single source of emissions and the need to tackle transport is urgent and growing.
We will be joined by ClimateWorks Australia and the Electric Vehicle Council to hear about the contribution that transport makes to climate change, what the pathways are to clean up the sector, what the current state of electric vehicle uptake in Australia is and how it compares globally. This will be an excellent introductory session to an emissions sector that is so frequently overlooked.
Join us to hear from three leaders in the sector:
- Michael Li – Senior Project Manager at ClimateWorks Australia, and co-author of Moving to Zero, a plan for Australia to transition our transport sector to zero emissions.
- Rachael Lynskey – Project Officer at ClimateWorks Australia and co-author of Moving to Zero.
- Behyad Jafari – CEO of the Electric Vehicle Council, Australia’s peak body for the electric vehicle industry.
The climate change funder group meets monthly, usually on the second Tuesday of each month. Connect with funders across Australia who share your passion for action on climate change. Funder groups provide an opportunity to develop lasting relationships, share your success stories, grow the impact of your funding and find collaboration opportunities.
