Monthly Webinar Series: Realising the Transformational Opportunity of COP31
Australia’s prospective role as host of COP31 in partnership with the Pacific presents a once in a generation opportunity to catalyse meaningful, enduring progress on climate action for Australia, our region and the world. This practical webinar series invites funders to explore how philanthropy can drive lasting change across different segments of our society and economy with a spotlight on different topics per webinar. Each session will offer in-depth insights from experts, opportunities for funders to learn and share, and fundable opportunities that are ready to go now, they simply need funding.  Together, let’s ensure COP31 is not just a conference, but a turning point for humanity and our planet.

Past webinar & Recordings

June 12: COP31: How philanthropy can help make Australia’s hosting transformational

To kick off the series we will explore how philanthropy has supported successful domestic and global outcomes through previous COPs, and hear from Andrew Higham, a world-renowned COP expert, on how Australian philanthropy can mobilise for COP31. We are fortunate to be joined by two pioneering AEGN members, Anna Cerneaz (Graeme Wood Foundation) and Jane Thomas (The Myer Foundation & The Sidney Myer Fund) who have been early pioneers of COP31 philanthropy who will share their funding approaches to maximising the opportunity of hosting the world on our shores in just 18 months time.
