Amanda is the CEO of The Next Economy, where she works to support regional communities across Australia to manage decarbonisation and climate change to build more resilient economies.  She has worked successfully to support all levels of government, industry, workers and community groups to understand and manage different aspects of the transition to net zero across Australia. In 2023 she completed a Churchill Fellowship to study the energy transition in Europe and sits on the National Hydrogen Strategy Advisory Board and AEMO’s Advisory Council on Social License. Amanda has a PhD from ANU and is a Research Fellow at Melbourne Climate Futures at the University of Melbourne and Industry Fellow at the Sydney Policy Lab.
