Greg Foyster

Rivers & Nature Campaign Manager at Environment Victoria

Greg has a background in communications, advertising and journalism, and is the author of the book Changing Gears, which charts sustainable living across Australian communities. He has run winning campaigns to oppose fossil fuel projects, set stronger climate change targets and return more water to rivers. He co-ordinated the recent campaign from the Murray-Darling Conservation Alliance, a new collaboration between conservation councils in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and South Australia. Working with farmers, fishers, environmentalists and First Nations, the Alliance successfully lobbied the federal government to restore Australia’s biggest river system, delivering an additional 450 billion litres of water to the environment by 2027.
