A critical moment for climate

The impacts of our heating planet are well-documented and understood by science, business, and community leaders. It is clear the prosperity and safety of our kids, our elderly, our traditions and practices, our businesses, investments and community institutions is at stake.

The ultimate solutions are clear: rapidly reducing the world’s reliance on fossil fuels, scaling key technological solutions, and restoring critical ecosystems.

But here in Australia, change is not moving fast enough. What is still missing is the nous, courage, wisdom and collective will of the Australian Jewish community’s leaders to advocate for this transformation with all means available.

If you’re concerned about climate change, or curious about how it might impact or align with your philanthropy, this event is for you.

Join passionate funders and advocates from across Australia to learn about the current state of our heating planet; how philanthropy is making a real impact on the issue that will define our generation; and leave with practical ways to use your Time, Treasure, Talent or Ties to find your place in it. Experienced funders Leonard Vary, CEO of The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund, and Sue McKinnon, Director of McKinnon Family Foundation, will share their lessons developed over years of climate change grantmaking and advocacy.

Co-hosted by the Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network, Australian Jewish Funders, and the Jewish Climate Network this is an event for new, established and curious climate change advocates and philanthropists. Don’t miss it!
