Simon Holmes à Court

Simon began his career as a software engineer in Silicon Valley during the first dotcom wave and shortly after returning to Australia in 2001 built an agricultural technology company.

Simon helped establish the Australian community energy movement, as founding chair of Hepburn Wind, the country’s first community owned wind farm.  

Simon was the inaugural chair of the Melbourne Energy Institute’s advisory board, and Senior Advisor to the Energy Transition Hub at Melbourne University. He is the convenor of Climate 200, a crowd-funding campaign supporting independent political candidates committed to tackling climate change, founding director of The Superpower Institute, and Senior Advisor to the Smart Energy Council.
